Tribal departments are arranged in divisions. Most divisions are headed by a Deputy Officer. The Deputy Officers to the Chief, Vice Chief or (often) both. A Deputy Officer may be responsible for as many as four divisions which may in turn contain as many as seven departments. For example, the Economic Development division includes Business Development, Strategic Planning, GIS Administration and Project development.
